Senior goalkeeper Alex Mann, who posted a 1.89 goals against average last season, has not played in an Indiana University Field Hockey contest this fall. She is, however, getting very close to returning.

'That's really day by day. Her progress and rehabilation has been very encouraging," head coach Amy Robertson said. "She's doing great. She's already biking. She can do the hydrotrack. Her mentality has been awesome. She has kept a great attitude. I think that's why she's getting back so quickly."

In Mann's absence, junior goalkeeper Becky Pany has filled in admirably. She's lead the team to a 2-1 record thus far, posting a 1.33 goals against average. In the Hoosiers' season opener against Boston College, she recorded a career-high nine saves in her second career start.

"At the same time, Becky is holding the fort down. She's making all the saves she needs to make," Robertson said. "That's fantastic that we can have confidence in our whole goalkeeping staff"
