ESPN.com released its college football conference power rankings on Tuesday and, once again, IU is near the bottom.

The Hoosiers are tied with Minnesota for ninth out of 11 teams -- only Illinois is ranked lower.

That ranking would seem at least somewhat disrespectful with teams like Michigan State and Northwestern ranked ahead of the Hoosiers. But, if you only read what Adam Rittenberg wrote about IU, you would think he was showing the Hoosiers some respect.

"I'm buying into Ben Chappell and the Hoosiers offense," Rittenberg wrote. "If the unit stays healthy, Indiana will put up points and improve in critical situations (third down, red zone). Not surprisingly, the major concerns come on defense, where Indiana hopes a switch to the 3-4 alignment pays off. A very favorable schedule gives IU a chance to make it back to a bowl game."

What is your reaction? I think IU finishes seventh, ahead of Minnesota, Michigan State and Northwestern. Interested to hear your thoughts.
