IU senior quarterback Ben Chappell already was entering the 2010 season with high expectations for Big Ten play.
Apparently, the expectations are high enough to reach the nationwide level.
Chappell is on the preseason watch list for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, according to a press release from IUHoosiers.com. The award recognizes the top senior signal-caller in the nation for success on the field as well as in character, citizenship, integrity and honor for the game, according to the release.
The Bloomington native ranks in the school's all-time top-10 in completion percentage, yardage and touchdown passes.
