With the return of guard Maurice Creek from injury and the young core getting older, it's realistic to expect the IU men's basketball team to make a jump up the the Big Ten standings in 2010.

Making the leap past rival Purdue, though, just got a little more unrealistic.

The Boilermakers' forward JaJuan Johnson and guard E'Twaun Moore informed coach Matt Painter that they would return to West Lafayette for their senior seasons, ESPN's Andy Katz reports.

Both players entered the NBA Draft but did not hire an agent, making it possible for them to return. Johnson scored 15.5 points per game last season. He also averaged 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per contest. Moore filled the role of go-to scorer when Robbie Hummel went down with an ACL injury, finishing the year with a 16.4 PPG clip.
