Head coach Mike Mayer and the IU men's golf team is currently playing a practice round at Windsong Farms Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minne, as preparation for the Big Ten Championships which begin Friday.

The Hoosiers come into the 2010 Big Ten Championship ranked No. 66 in the nation and the fifth highest ranked team in the Big Ten.

IU is coming off back-back four place finishes in its last two tournaments and with a record of 66-54, they currently sit on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble. Barring a major collapse over the next 72 holes, the Hoosiers should find themselves in the NCAA Tournament when the bids are handed out on May 10th.

Freshman Corey Ziedonis will lead the Hoosiers off the first tee tomorrow at 8:00 and will be followed by freshman Brant Peaper, sophomore Chase Wright, sophomore David Erdy and senior Alex Martin.

All 11 teams will tee off tomorrow morning and weather permitting (70% chance of showers according to www.weather.com) will try and play 36 holes with 18 on Saturday and Sunday.

Stay tuned to Hoosier Hype for updates on both the men's and women's golf teams.
