In a preliminary call, I was told by former IU assistant coach Roshown McLeod that I could speak with him at 4p.m. today.
Between the hour that he and I spoke, he decided to issue a blanket statement and said he will not speak to anyone personally. He said the next day or so should see a press release from him to all news media.
We'll continue to try to find out what happened with the firing of McLeod. He and IU coach Tom Crean seem to be cautious when talking about the situation.
Athletics Director Fred Glass said it was a personal decision and he spoke with Crean prior to the move and fully supports it. He declined further comment.
There's not much to it, but this is what McLeod said when we spoke.
"I'm not commenting just yet on the situation," he said. "I'm going to send a statement out to everyone that's the same statement"
