IU coach Tom Crean told the media Friday that senior guard Devan Dumes would not make the trip to Madison for IU's 2p.m. game.

Dumes was said to have the flu and stayed in Bloomington for the game.

It will be interesting to see how IU does without a player who gives them experience, toughness and 3-point shooting.

In the stint where Dumes played well IU did its best.

He scored 13 points against Minnesota in an overtime win and posted 15 against Penn State in IU's lone road win in the Big Ten.

When Dumes didn't play well neither did IU.

He had 0 points against Northwestern in a 78-61 loss and put up 3 points against Ohio State as IU fell 69-52.
