Found the above video on YouTube - the best angle I've seen of the last play considering we were seated behind the scorer's table on the other side of the court near IU's bench.

Tidbits from the game:

  • IU was whistled for 21 fouls and Illinois was called for 22, a major difference from the 11-foul discrepancy on Jan. 9
  • The Hoosiers had 19 second chance points and 28 points off the bench
  • Illinois center Mike Tisdale was 0-for-1 in the first half, but finished with 12 points in the second
  • IU scored 20 points in the first 16:46 of the game, but went on a 16-4 in the final 3:14 of the half; the Hoosiers outscored the Fighting Illini 10-2 in the final 2:23 of the first half
  • Midway through the first, Illinois went on an 11-0 run and IU scored only three points between 13:14 and 5:11
  • Tom Crean's three-man starting front court went 1-of-10 in the first half - the lone basket was a layup by Tom Pritchard who had three fouls in three minutes

  • The Hoosiers shot 19-of-23 from the foul line, or 82.6 percent (13-of-14 in the second half), but shot just 35 percent from the floor
  • Seven Hoosiers grabbed three or more rebounds
  • Devan Dumes had three steals, one of which resulted in the half-court shot and another which led to that sorta-kinda-almost-ok, we'll call it a dunk (team had 18 points off turnovers)
  • Illinois started the second half on a 9-4 run and took a 45-40 lead, but IU responded with a 13-2 run that included 5 points each from Dumes and Derek Elston
  • IU started the second half 3-of-4 from downtown and was shooting 9-of-18 from outside, but the Hoosiers went 0-for-5 in the final 12 minutes
  • Jeremiah Rivers is now 9-of-20 from the free throw line in Big Ten play (52 percent overall) and hit both free throws in a two-shot situation for only the second time in the eight games
