After trailing 39-29 at the half, the IU women's basketball team rallied for their third straight win against Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich. The No. 21 ranked Spartans fell to the Hoosiers, 68-63.

With the win, IU is 1-0 in the Big Ten and 5-3 overall.

One major key for the Hoosiers was staying even in the rebounding category, getting beat just 51-49 on the boards. In the previous four games, IU had been out-rebounded by at least 10 every game. In staying even on the boards, IU did not allow a Spartans player to reach double figures on the glass individually.

Scoring wise, the Hoosiers were led by junior guard and captain Jori Davis, who had 19 points. The other double-figures scorers came from unlikely sources, as junior Whitney Lindsay scored 13 and freshman Aulani Sinclair added 12. For Sinclair, it was a career high in scoring in her first career start. She also hit a big three pointer to put the Hoosiers up for good at 62-60.
