Former IU basketball coach Bob Knight has never been known to bite his tongue, and at his Indiana Hall of Fame speech in Indianapolis, he let his mouth attack again. This time, Kentucky coach John Calipari was the victim.
"We've gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that's why I'm glad I'm not coaching," he said during his speech Thursday night. "You see we've got a coach at Kentucky [John Calipari], who put two schools on probation and he's still coaching. I really don't understand that."
Calipari was the aim of a multitude of signs and chants during the Hoosiers' 90-73 loss to Kentucky last Saturday, as outlined in Zina Kumok's much-commented article.
