Pees played it like I thought he would to start. They took away the long ball with a deep cover-2 scheme and played tight man-to-man inside 20 yards. Austin Collie dropped a 2nd down pass that would have led to the chains moving. Figuring Manning would go for the chains with 45+ seconds remaing, Pees dropped Brandon Meriweather deep and manned up to make the Colts fight for the first.

First half thoughts:

As the game moved on and the Colts put up essentially no fight against the Pats' deep attack, Belichick got to the scheme we all thought he'd come out with. What is surprising is the fact that Indy couldnt get it going except for their second drive and at the very end. Again, it's early and we know how the Colts have historicaly responded in the second 30 minutes. See you in a little.
