The 2009 NCAA field hockey selection show will begin tonight at 8 p.m here.

The No. 13 Hoosiers (14-6, 4-2) moved up five spots since the last NFHCA poll on November 3rd.

The NCAA tournament selects 16-teams to play in it.

IU tied for second in the Big Ten Conference and got second place in the Big Ten tournament this past weekend.

This past Sunday, the Hoosiers lost the championship game to No.6 Michigan State 3-2.

IU won nine of their past 11 games, losing to Michigan State both times they played in the regular season and in the tournament.

The Hoosiers are 1-1 all-time in the NCAA tounament with those two games being played in 2005.
