Bill Lynch took a handful of questions about athletic director Fred Glass saying he will honor his contract for the next two years. Here's what Lynch said:

On Glass saying he will honor the contract:

Obviously, I really appreciate his support. I'm excited because I think we have a great future here. I've really enjoyed working with Fred and his staff over the last so many months and I really do appreciate the support. We've got some really good things going and are looking forward to the future.

On his conversation with Glass about the contract:

We talked about it some yesterday. We have weekly dialogue. We spend a lot of time together and it's great. He travels with us, he's with us at practice. We've developed a really good relationship that I've really enjoyed.

Any talks about a contract extension:

No. That isn't important at this point. We've had really good discussions about the football program on where we're going. Like I said to start with, I really appreciate the support he's shown and it gives us great direction.

On the timing of Glass' announcement coming after Northwestern's 25-point comeback win against the Hoosiers:

I really appreaciate (the support).
