IU Field Hockey ends its trip to North Carolina with a 5-2 loss to No. 3 Wake Forest.

The Hoosiers couldn't keep up with the many talented players from Wake Forest.

The first two goals came from Wake Forest.

The two goals were scored by senior midfielder Raisa Schiller off a penalty corner in the ninth minute and less than eight minutes later the other goal came from sophomore back Kaitlin Piosa.

The next two goals came from the Hooisers.

The first was on the 18: 17 mark from a rebound shot from sophomore forward Corey Brautigam and the next 36 seconds later off a breakaway from junior forward Lena Grote.

The next two goals from Wake Forest before the half ended.

The next two goals came from senior midfielder Melissa Martin off a penalty corner and sophomore midfielder Faith Adams scored off a penalty corner.

At the 52:20 mark, the last Demon Deacon goal came from senior forward Kim Romansky by a penalty corner pass.

The talented roster from the Demon Deacons had five goals from five different girls.

On Saturday, the Hoosiers play their first home game of the season at 1 pm against Ball State.
