Kyrie Irving, a five-star point guard and IU's top target for 2010, said he plans to cut down his list of schools later this month.

"Pretty soon I'm gonna narrow down the schools. After Elite 24," Irving texted to East Coast blogger/recruiting reporter Adam Zagoria.

Irving, who is looking at IU, Duke, Notre Dame and Texas A&M, among other schools, was referring to the Boost Mobile Elite 24 game at the famed Rucker Park.

This event, which will take place on Aug. 22 and be televised on ESPNU, is expected to include top 2010 talent such as Irving, Harrison Barnes, Jared Sullinger and Will Barton and juniors Mike Gilchrist and Austin Rivers.

Three-star recruit and Maryland native Victor Oladipo had something interesting things to say in a recent interview with Jody Demling. Oladipo, Rivals.com's No. 107 recruit for 2010, said he has been building a relationship with IU and coach Tom Crean since late last year.

"I really like Indiana and love coach Crean," he told Demling.

The shooting guard said he even has talked with former Marquette standout and current NBA star Dwyane Wade about Crean and his style of play.
