Despite winning just six games last season, IU ranked No. 16 among all NCAA teams in home attendance last season. In 15 home games, the average crowd at Assembly Hall was 14,331. The 2007-08 Hoosiers were ninth, with just under 17,000 in attendance per game.

Kentucky topped the list at No. 1, while all Big Ten schools but Northwestern were in the Top 100: No. 6 Wisconsin, No. 13 Illinois, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 15 Michigan State, No. 18 Purdue and No. 23 Minnesota, No. 34 Iowa, No. 35 Michigan and No. 66 Penn State.

The Big Ten led all conferences in average attendance.
