IU (6-23, 1-16) played one of its most spirited games of the season, battling No. 8 Michigan State all the way to the buzzer. But a few missed free throws ultimately doomed the Hoosiers and the Spartans escaped Bloomington with a victory, 64-59.
Michigan State clinched the Big Ten regular season title with Tuesday's win over IU.
