Stephan Van Treese (2009) and Justin Martin (2010) are off to Louisville, and five-star recruit Dominique Ferguson is headed to Kentucky in 2010. The Cardinals topped the Wildcats 74-71 earlier today, but they won more than just the game.

Ryan Taylor and Michael Chandler, two stud teammates of Van Treese and Ferguson, both verbally committed to play for Rick Pitino in a few years, according to CardinalSports.com. Though both sophomores, Taylor and Chandler may very well be the top 2011 prospects in the state, along with Pike's Marquis Teague (who was said to be behind the Cardinals' bench this afternoon).

The good news for IU: Matt Carlino is still coming. The bad news: the Lawrence North pipeline is crossing the Ohio River into Kentucky.

Keep in mind, however, that recruiting is based on relationships, and Crean and the coaching staff are just getting started in the Hoosier State. With already solid Alabama and Georgia/New Jersey connections from assistants Bennie Seltzer and Roshown McLeod, respectively, there is no reason to be worried about attracting top players.
