Senior forward Amber Jackson in the Big Ten Women's Basketball tournament last yearSenior forward Amber Jackson was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after leading the Hoosiers to the tournament championship in the Hilton Concord Classic last week in Moraga, California.

In the two games of the tournament against Radford and host Saint Mary's Jackson totaled 50 points on 20-24 shooting from the field, and 10-13 from the free-throw line.

This tournament was also special for Jackson because her mother saw her play for the first time in her college career.

Jackson, who was born in Japan while her father was there with the U.S. Navy, went to high school in Oxnard, California, and played her first two years of college at San Jose State before transferring to IU last year.

Jackson and the Hoosiers play next on Friday, as they travel to Miami for a showdown with the Hurricanes in the ACC/Big Ten Women's Basketball Challenge.
