With a new roster and a young team, the Hoosiers are going to have their fair share of problems this season. But IU's biggest struggle up to this point would have to be limiting turnovers and handling the ball with care.

In fact, of 330 Division I teams, the Hoosiers rank 327th in turnovers (20.3). In turnover margin, the Hoosiers are 276th. IU has turned the ball over 20 times or more in six games already this season (only twice last year). The team's best ball handling effort came against Chaminade when the Hoosiers committed a season-low 11 turnovers.

To IU's credit, the team's backcourt faces many challenges. Their starting point guard is a walk-on. Freshman Verdell Jones, the only guard on the team with more assists than turnovers, is injured and the other guards don't have much experience at the position.

There's a story about IU's turnover problem in Wednesday's paper, but I wanted to see what you think the Hoosiers need to do to minimize sloppy play. A different offensive style? Someone in specific running the point? Should the team try and hit singles, as Tom Crean likes to say? Sound off and let me know what you think.
