With one scholarship remaining, Tom Crean continues his search for the final piece of the 2009 recruiting class. Two of the biggest names Crean is after are Christian Watford (No. 40 Rivals.com, No. 47 Scout.com) and Roger Franklin (76/49). While Crean has a limited number of days he can go on the road to recruit, Mike Pegram from Peegs.com is reporting that Watford is planning on returning to Bloomington for an other unofficial visit late this summer (he was in town for the adidas May Classic this spring).

Although Memphis and Louisville have been rumored to be the teams to beat in the race for Watford, the news of Watford planning a second visit to IU seems to indicate that the Shades Valley High School (Ala.) star is fairly open still. Jody Demling of the Lousiville Courier-Journal reported last week that Memphis, Louisville, IU, Kentucky and Alabama are all "still in the hunt." Demling says the 6-foot-7 forward specifically mentioned the Cardinals and the Hoosiers, saying the following:

"I loved it at Louisville," he said. "It was great and I really like coach (Rick) Pitino. He does a great job of developing his players. I went to Indiana for an unofficial visit and I know coach (Tom) Crean. He's also a great guy"
