Although IU has yet to release an official 2008-09 schedule, it's been known for a while that IU will be playing Gonzaga at Lucas Oil Stadium, the new home of the Indianapolis Colts. Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com had a blurb on his blog today that the IU-Gonzaga match-up will be part of doubleheader with Notre Dame playing Ohio State in the other game.
Gonzaga's trip to Indianapolis will be its second in five years after the Bulldogs fell to Illinois at the Wooden Tradition at Conseco Fieldhouse in November of 2004. The Hoosiers and Bulldogs will be squaring off for the third time in four years, after the two schools met in the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Tournaments.
