I didn't put this in my marathon Case Summary break down, because I knew that people would likely not read that far down. Jerry Green, who was the director of basketball operations during Sampson's first season, was quoted in the NCAA case summary. His testimony seems pretty damaging to Sampson and his staff, who claim they did not knowingly act contrary to the NCAA probation put on the program due to Sampson's actions as coach of Oklahoma. Here is what Green had to say:

"I see absolutely no way that (the NCAA violations) could've been an accident. It had to have been done purposefully because there was too much information that was given to the coaching staff, in my opinion, to keep them from making a major mistake. That they were informed, maybe not the first day, maybe not the first month, but after it got going, everyone, in my opinion, knew the process, what we needed to do and I, I don't see any way possible that it could have happened, uh, legally."
