Chris Korman of the Bloomington Herald Times is reporting on the paper's blog today that the NCAA will push for 4 major violations against IU instead of the 5 listed in the letter of allegations sent to the University earlier this spring. This new information was discovered when the University received the Case Summary from the NCAA outlining the proceedings which will take place during the final hearing June 13-14.

The IDS has filed an open records request for the case summary.

The fifth allegation, which stemmed from assistant coach Jeff Meyer giving Hoosier recruit Derek Elston an impermissible gift, has been reclassified as secondary. The remaining 4 allegations will still be classified as major.
