Matt Roth and Tom Pritchard are still committed to IU but recruits Devin Ebanks and Terrell Holloway are still sorting out their plans, no news here. Tom Crean recognizes the challenge of recruiting, short-term and long-term, and he addressed that today at his press conference.

"We're going to get into that process quickly," Crean said. "I don't want to comment on recruiting as much right now except that we're going to do everything we can to study and to get to know the four young men that have committed or signed to this university, and also to continue recruit."

I spoke with Holloway, Pritchard and Roth, as well as Ebanks' coach and Bob Hurley, Sr., the prep coach of Marquette's top 2008 recruit who has asked for his release from Marquette. Check tomorrow's publication to find out what they said about the Crean hire, but for now here's what I learned from class of 2010 recruit Tobias Harris of Half Hollow Hills West High School in New York:

The sophomore standout from Long Island, originally one of former coach Kelvin Sampson's top targets for 2010, called the Crean hire "a great move for Indiana." Harris said he will weigh his options and is still considering IU, despite his good relationships with Sampson and IU assistant coach Ray McCallum, who could be on the way out too. Tobias said he "liked everything" about his visit to IU last summer, and he said he wants to play for a program that is "going to be in good hands"
