Hey folks,
Final Purdue 64 - IU 54 To the end, Jack wasn't happy with the officiating, but her team just couldn't find their stroke from the field in today's loss. This ends any NCAA hopes for the Hoosiers, who will probably show up in the WNIT, considering their record and who they've beaten. Check back with the blog and the Web site for full coverage of IU's loss. That's it from here. Again, final score, 64-54 Purdue.

1:11 Purdue 60 - IU 50 It's about over here at Conseco. The Hoosiers just looked like they couldn't hold on down the stretch, for whatever reason Purdue just looked the stronger team over the second half. Coach Jack hasn't been happy with either her team's ability to hang onto the ball or the officials, who seemed to be calling too loose a game for her tastes. They called it both ways though, the Hoosiers just lost their shooting touch. Amber Jackson will be at the line out of a Purdue TO, shooting two.
-----
2:11 Purdue 58 - IU 50 Danielle Campbell probably just sealed the game for Purdue. She hit a turn-around in the lane then knocked down the free throw, 59-50 Boilers.
-----
3:01 Purdue 55 - IU 50 Malone hits a three with a hand in her face to push the Purdue lead to five late. Malone has 23 today, she's been all over the place offensively and defensively.
-----
3:57 Purdue 52 - IU 50 The Boilers hit back with a rally, taking the lead. IU just can't hold onto the ball. They've turned it over 20 times in the game, which have led directly to several Purdue layups.
-----
6:11 IU 48 - Purdue 45 This one seems destined to be a nailbiter to the bitter end. IU has pushed back at Purdue with some good inside play in the last few minutes, but the Boilers are staying with the Hoosiers at the free-throw line.
-----
9:12 Purdue 42 - IU 41 A Purdue timeout comes after two quick Hoosier scores. The numbers say IU shouldn't be in this game - 39 percent from the floor, 20 percent from range and no advantage on the glass. But they are.
-----
11:50 Purdue 40 - IU 35 IU is hanging, but barely. The Boilermakers seem like they've been poised for a run the last few minutes, but IU is staying in it, an impressive feat considering Jamie Braun and Whitney Thomas have a combined eight points. The Hoosiers aren't keeping Purdue off the offensive glass, however, and it's hurting them.
-----
13:18 Purdue 38 - IU 33 Purdue might be pulling away with this one. IU's looking a little tired, and they aren't scoring on offense. Coach Jack isn't too happy with a couple of calls in the last two possessions, one that she thought was a foul on Purdue and then a travel on Keshia Mosley, who hit a layup after a spin move. Meanwhile, the band war rages between IU and Purdue to my left and right.
-----
15:37 IU 33 - Purdue 31 Jamie Braun just hit a driving layup for her first two-pointer of the night. The Hoosiers need her to start scoring if they want to win this game. They just announced the attendance: 7,320. That's for today's first session, Iowa vs. Michigan (Iowa won) and IU vs. Purdue.
-----
17:43 IU 31 - Purdue 29 Whitney Lindsay shows off some range with a three for her first points. Campbell picks up an offensive foul, ball back to the Hoosiers. Purdue is really trying to shut down the lane right now, and it's working.
The teams are back out and leaving the huddle, and we're gonna get the second half started right ... now.
We're about five minutes away from restart. The first half was a tough, defensive battle, we'll see if we get more of the same here in the second frame. Stick with us and we'll tell you all about it. Hey, it's better than being outside in the snow right now.
