Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports is reporting that IU has offered Washington State's Tony Bennett the coaching position for the Hoosiers.
While Bennett would not be a surprise, the timing seems a little early with rumored IU targets Rick Pitino of Louisville and Sean Miller of Xavier still in the tournament. Goodman has been wrong this season about the Hoosiers when he reported that forward D.J. White would sit out against Purdue. And that Kelvin Sampson had been fired -- a full 24 hours before he resigned.
