Two straight poor turnovers by the Hoosiers gave Purdue a chance to tie going into the half. Hummel missed a three at the end and IU leads 32-29 at the half.

White grabs an offensive rebound over three Purdue players and scores, sending the crowd to its feet. IU leads by 5 as Purdue calls a time out. 1:39 left in the half.

Back to back big plays from Stemler as he blocked a more layup and hit a three on the other end.

It's been a back and forth game since IU cut the Purdue 6 point lead earlier in the half. The game has a feel to a boxing match with each time feeling each other out in the first half. At the 4-minute TV timeout, Purdue leads 25-23.

IU has gone back to the man to man. IU cannot seem to get a call since the Gordon call a few minutes back. Purdue leads 20-19 @ 5:25

White seems to lack some explosiveness as he isn't jumping as high as usual. Two more turnovers for IU as Purdue takes a 10-4 lead. Sampson takes a timeout to stop the bleeding.

It's a big game folks - Governor Mitch Daniels is in the Hall tonight to watch IU and Purdue square off for state bragging rights. Mitch is in a green sweater - so he is not playing favorites although he has a daughter who is a senior down in Bloomington. It is an election year - both Hoosiers and Boilermakers vote.
