OK, so I was kidding in the headline of this post. Everyone has anticipated Eric Gordon's first trip to Illinois since he reneged on his commitment to the Illini and coach Bruce Weber. Since then, Gordon has been vilified by the Illini faithful, with one columnist calling him a "steaming pile of 2 guard". So it should be an interesting scene when Gordon takes the floor tonight.

I previewed the game, which should also be viewed as important for Hoosier fans because of IU's position in the Big Ten conference race. IU is at 7-1 in conference play, trailing rival Purdue who has a 9-1 record. Mike was able to talk to a member of Illinois' Orange Krush student section while examining Gordon's first trip to the other Assembly Hall. Jon also talks about Eric's trip to Champaign in his column.

So the day is here. What are your predictions? How will Eric play - will he be the All-American candidate or will the Orange Krush make Gordon look like a normal freshman playing on the road? We will find out tonight at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
