Here is the link to Kelvin Sampson today in the Big Ten teleconference.

Sampson on the loss to UConn: "We are coming off a really tough loss Saturday in a game we could have certainly played better across the board on both sides of the court."

"We have a great opportunity Thursday against a really good Wisconsin team. This will be a really important week of practice. We have an opportunity to right a lot of wrongs."

On Biggest Problems facing Wisconsin: "I think their greatest strength is that they don't contribute to their own demise. They don't beat themselves."

Talked about the tough match-up Brian Butch presents because he is a post player who can step outside and shoot. Likes the quickness in the guard play. Landy can beat a team in many ways, but that they don't depend on one or two players.

On how to win on the road in the Big Ten: "One thing that can't not be there on the road is rebounding. You have to rebound to win on the road."

"You have to match the home's team intensity on the road."

Thoughts on Wisconsin point guard Trevon Hughes: "I just like his toughness. He understands his role and doesn't get outside himself. He is a very calming influence on his team."

On Armon Bassett's outstanding shooting from beyond the arc of late: "Armon is an outstanding shooter. The thing about his percentage is his shot selection. He only shoots when he is open. When we do execute, he comes off the screens ready to shoot. He is more comfortable in his role, but he works at it. It's good to see Armon being rewarded for the extra shooting he's put in and how hard he's worked on that part of the game"
