We're back for the second half. The Hoosiers just came out of the tunnel and we just got some half-time stats.

Quick hits:

-FSU's leading scorer Jacinta Monroe has just four points and two rebounds. Tanae Davis-Cain, their other big scorer, has no points. That has to change for the 'Noles. -Outside of Jamie Braun's 10, 22 of the Hoosiers 31 remaining points have come from freshmen tonight. -The Hoosiers are outrebounding a taller team 21-16 through the first frame. -IU has hit 5-of-12 3-pointers, a big stat. Haylie Linn and Amber Jackson have accounted for four of those, and Nikki Smith has the other one. Outside shooting seems key to any upset bid tonight.

FSU just hit the floor, so I'll check out until we kick it off. Forgot to mention this, but if you'd like some visual evidence of the score, this game is on the Big Ten Network, IU's first national TV game of the year. The network will pick up at least eight this year. I'm out until I'm not.

-----

19:14 IU 45 - FSU 40 An alley oop from Jori Davis to Whitney Thomas just got the Hoosiers two, but two quick threes to open the half now have FSU within two at 45-43. Linn and Davis start the half on the court for the Hoosiers.

-----

IU 47 - FSU 43 Whitney Thomas called for what looked like a shoulder on Freshour on a fast break. She's now got three after six quick points to start the half. Whitney Lindsay checks in for Davis.

-----

IU 50 - FSU 45 Whitney Thomas takes it strong and gets fouled. IU still hitting from outside, as Haylie Linn knocks down her third three. Thomas hits neither free throw, and FSU takes it the other way. FSU has already picked up three team fouls.

-----

15:56 TV timeout IU 50 - FSU 45 The foul problems have suddenly turned to FSU. They've picked up five team fouls so far, while IU has just one. Kicking the ball low to Thomas and Amber Jackson has gotten IU most of their calls. A few quick stats: Teams are even on turnovers with 13, IU still has a rebound advantage at 25-17, Whitney Thomas has eight points, six in this half alone.

-----

14:31 IU 50 - FSU 47 Coach Jack just sank to the floor in disgust at a questionable traveling call on Whitney Thomas. Then FSU scored a two, only to have Haylie Linn answer with yet another 3-pointer. She's 4-4 from range now. Whitney Thomas picked up her fourth foul, and she'll sit. Tanae Davis-Cain has eight this half, she's heating up.

-----

12:02 FSU 56 - IU 53 Davis-Cain just knocked down a two and got fouled, she'll go to the line with the chance to give FSU their largest lead of the day. She can't convert, but Jacinta Monroe hits a put back. Jack wanted over the back as Monroe appeared to shove Davis for the rebound. 11:40 TV timeout Stat hit: FSU has 10 more free throw attempts than IU, Haylie Linn has 12 points on 4-of-4 from 3-point range, IU has 13 assists to 17 turnovers.

Several men's players are here, including Jamarcus Ellis, Eric Gordon, Lance Stemler, D.J. White and Adam Ahfeld. Kellen Sampsonis also in attendance. Several fans gathered around D.J. and Lance briefly, and the two are still signing autographs.

-----

10:30 FSU 56 - IU 54 IU is now in the bonus, but Linn misses the front end of her 1-and-1.

-----

9:49 FSU 59 - IU 54 IU had two defensive rebounds in one possession that they lost, and FSU ended up hitting a tough 7-footer and got the foul. It was good, and Follmer now has four fouls. But Haylie Linn nails a three, and FSU answers, now FSU 62 - IU 57.

-----

9:15 IU 30 sec. timeout, becomes a full media timeout. IU is hanging tough at the media break. They've lost a couple of rebounds they needed to keep and missed some free throws, but they're still in the game, down just three with nine minutes and change left. Check below for quick stats:

-Davis-Cain is having a much better half, as she's scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting. -IU is 5-of-9 from the line, but 8-of-19 from range. -FSU has narrowed the rebounding battle, but only barely, as IU holds a 31-26 advantage.

-----

7:59 IU 30 sec. timeout FSU 66 - IU 59 Coach Jack is really getting on her team now. They've missed a pair of layups and given up two easy fast-break layups at the other end. Legs might be tiring here with all the foul trouble the team was in early. A little back and forth, and we hit the TV timeout with the score the same and Amber Jackson going to the line to shoot two. The flags are out, and the crowd is up and cheering. They've been small but enthusiastic all game long, getting to their feet plenty.

Jackson only has two points tonight, well below her season average of 12.5. IU needs to find a way to get her in the offense here late, Florida State's zone has really shut her down in the post all night. Jackson hits one of two free throws.

-----

6:44 FSU 30 sec. timeout FSU 68 - IU 65 Amber Jackson converted a three-point play from the charity stripe and Jamie Braun's steal and feed to Whitney Lindsay cut the lead to three. Jack has Whitney Thomas back in with four fouls, perhaps to pull the defense away from Jackson.

-----

6:14 FSU 68 - IU 65 Whitney Thomas just fouled out on what coach Jack thought was an over-the-back on Jacinta Monroe. Monroe has had a few rebounds come that way tonight, and Jack hasn't liked the officials' decision on any of them. But Thomas is now down for the night. Monroe hits 1-of-2 from the line. FSU 69 - IU 65

-----

5:13 FSU 69 - IU 65 The officials are blowing the whistle on nearly every possession now, both teams are in the double bonus. Linn comes off for Jamie Braun as Freshour hits both free throws.

-----

4:00 FSU 75 - IU 67 Braun hits one of two free throws, grabs a offensive rebounds, the Hoosiers lose the ball and then get it back for an easy layup. Play is back and forth and another foul call that goes against IU sparks fans to rain boos on the officials. TV timeout at 3:30, and IU is down six, 75-69.

No one on either side of the scorer's table will likely be happy with the officiating tonight. There have been 40 fouls called tonight, 23 on IU and 17 on FSU. The Hoosiers have gone to the line 16 times, the Seminoles 26. Neither team has been able to establish much offensive rhythm because of the constant stoppages.

-----

2:19 FSU 30 sec. timeout FSU 77 - IU 72 Jamie Braun hit a big three after Nikki Smith had one disallowed because of a very questionable travel call. FSU got called for traveling on the other end. A radio announcer next to me just called this 'the worst officiated game he's ever seen.' And another very questionable call sends the crowd into an uproar.

-----

1:25 FSU 77 - IU 75 Braun drives basline and feeds Amber Jackson for an easy two. An FSU turnover and the crowd is screaming.

-----

45.9 sec left FSU 79 - IU 75 Williams for FSU hits a two and draws Amber Jackson's fifth foul. She misses the free throw but the long rebound goes to FSU. We'll stay with you through the end of the game here.

29.6 seconds left Jori Davis just nailed a corner three to bring the score to 80-78. The Hoosiers will have to foul here, and there have been more than 40 fouls now in this game.

19.9 seconds left Nikki Smith's 3-point attempt is blocked and FSU gets the rebound after Freshour hits two free throws. Davis-Cain hits 1-of-2 from the line, and the score is FSU 83 - IU 78. Haylie Linn checks.

3.1 seconds left The upset will have to wait for another day. IU misses a short jumper and then turns the ball over after the rebound. FSU hits both free throws and the game ends 85-78 in favor of the Seminoles. The Hoosiers lose in the first Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge.

I'll check back with some stats in a few minutes, then check Monday's Indiana Daily Student for full coverage of tonight's game. Thanks for stopping by.
