Everyone by now knows the Hoosiers are going bowling. The only question left is where.

It appears the Hoosiers will get an invitation from one of two bowls, the Insight.com Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. or the Motor City Bowl in Detroit.

The Motor City Bowl takes place Dec. 26, the day after Christmas. While the Insight Bowl will be played on Dec. 31, New Year's Eve. Where the Hoosiers will end up could depend on several things, including if whether Ohio State or Michigan makes a BCS bowl game.

Once IU is selected to a bowl, fans will be able to purchase tickets at IUHoosiers.com or by calling 1-866-IUSPORTS. More information can be found, here. In addition, fans can book their travel plans through Anthony Travel, the official travel agency of the Hoosiers. Once the bowl game is determined, the company will arrange personally packages for customers, according to an IU Athletic's press release.

The team will not be chartering planes for fans to the game, due to short notice and costly prices.

If my opinion means much to you, I think the Insight.com Bowl will in fact select the Hoosiers. I think Tempe would be a great destination for the Hoosiers. The area enjoys sunshine 85% of the year and playing in Sun Devil Stadium (capacity 73,752) would be a great experience.

And although the Motor City Bowl has been met by most with groans, it would also provide an enticing scenario. Although the weather would be brutally cold, the game is played inside Ford Field, one of the nicest stadiums in America. The Hoosiers could also play Miami (OH), which would be a fitting tribute to Coach Hep.

Keep following the blog this holiday week, we'll be sure to keep you guys informed with bowl updates.
