A few minor stories about the team on this Tuesday for you:
1. For those of you who hadn't heard, former IU player and Indiana High School star Robert Vaden was arrested Friday morning for disorderly conduct at a Birmingham night club. Vaden, who sat out last season after following former IU coach Mike Davis to the University of Alabama-Birmingham, will begin his junior season this year.
"We are aware of the situation and will handle the matter internally and appropriately," Davis said in a statement released Friday afternoon.
2. Indianapolis Star writer Jeff Robjohns reported today that East Chicago High School was shocked to hear that its star forward and heralded recruit, Angel Garcia committed to Memphis. Those comments make this writer think things could still be up in the air for Garcia. However, there is continued speculation that Garcia will not qualify academically to play for the Tigers, or any other team, next season.
3. Adam Alhfeld took on the role as the team photographer during the trip to the Bahamas for www.iuhoosiers.com. There is a nice gallery with some behind the scenes pictures of the trip.
