Led by the Hoosier's very own D.J. White, the United States notched its first victory of the Pan Am Games Friday night, with a 74-71 victory over Argentina.

White was 8-of-14 from the field and finished with a game-high 22 points. In addition to the offensive outpour, White continued to pound the boards in international play pulling down seven rebounds.

The Pan Am Games have marked the reemergence of D.J. White. White and Eric Gordon could combine as the best inside-outside combo in the nation.

The States will continue its quest for fifth-place this afternoon when they take on the Virgin Islands at 4:15 PM.
