Tomorrow's weather forecast is looking kind of grim.
I talked to Race Coordinator Matthew Ewing yesterday, and he said if track conditions are poor Qualifications will be moved to Sunday. If some teams have already attempted their qualification on Saturday, they will have the option to attempt to qualify again on Sunday. For those teams that opt to retry on Sunday, their Saturday qualification time will be erased and will essentially be counted as a fault.
That said, Sunday's weather forecast isn't looking much better.
Also, IUSF was really proud to have a full, 33-team women's field last year. At best, the field will only include 31 teams for the 20th annual race. I guess one team dropped out within the past two weeks.
Hopefully we'll see you all this weekend. And hopefully you won't be bringing umbrellas.
