Fill the Gap: Habitat for Humanity Restore

Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a discount home improvement store whose proceeds fund the construction of new homes in Monroe County by Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County. ReStore has three volunteer positions available throughout the week. Interested parties can choose from serving as a cashier, a donation intake assistant, or a showroom assistant. Retail experience is a plus, but not required. All necessary training is provided on site.

Monroe County CASA Advocates Needed

Monroe County CASA is looking for additional volunteers to take on the role of Court Appointed Special Advocate, or “CASA” for a child in need in the Bloomington community. CASA advocates are community volunteers who are professionally trained to gather information about an abused or neglected child and his/her family, identify needs and possible services, and speak on behalf of the child in court. Responsibilities include meeting with the child monthly, communicating with case managers, parents, and foster parents, writing reports, and attending court hearings.

Brown County Humane Society Barn Sale Donation Days

Brown County Humane Society is looking for volunteers to prepare donated items for their annual Barn Sale. Volunteers for the “Donation Days” phase of the sale will unload, clean, sort, organize and price donated items. This opportunity is perfect for a large group. Volunteers willing to do heavy lifting are welcome.
