Indiana football announces spring game start time

More than two months after securing its first National Championship, Indiana football is beginning its next chapter. The Hoosiers will hold their annual spring football game at 8 p.m. April 23 at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. Doors for the event open to fans at 6:30 p.m., the program announced Wednesday. 

Indiana begins practice Thursday and concludes its spring program with the game April 23. The spring game offers fans their first look at Indiana’s 2026 roster on the field. In addition to returning 10 starting players from last year’s championship team, the lineup includes 19 early-enrolled freshmen and 17 transfer additions.  

Indiana’s 2026 freshman class ranks 20th in the country. Meanwhile, quarterback Josh Hoover and wide receiver Nick Marsh headline the Hoosiers’ ninth-ranked 2026 transfer portal classper 247Sports 

The game coincides with the start of the NFL Draft, which is slated to begin at 8 p.m. EST April 23. Former Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is projected to be the No. 1 overall selection in the draft. Mendoza will throw at Indiana’s Pro Day on April 1, along with 22 other former Hoosiers. Admission to the spring game in 2025 was free, but the program has not yet shared admission details for this year’s event. Pro Day will not be open to the public.
