Power has been restored to around 700 Duke Energy customers after they were left without power Monday afternoon because of two outages, according to the company’s website. The areas impacted include the southeast side of IU’s campus and nearby residential areas to the south.
The reason behind the outage is unknown; however, it was first reported at 2:35 p.m.
Duke estimates restoration will be completed at 6:45 p.m. Monday.
At approximately 5 a.m. Monday, nearly 700 customers in Bloomington were also without power before it was restored.
