Indiana football enters the second half of the season ranked No. 3 in The Associated Press’ Top 25 poll with an unblemished 6-0 record.
The Hoosiers also enter with freshman safety Byron Baldwin Jr. available for the first time this season, according to the Big Ten Availability Report on Saturday. Baldwin is slated to make his collegiate debut.
After the 6-foot-2, 194-pound Baldwin missed the Cream and Crimson’s season opener Aug. 30, Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti said Sept. 1 Baldwin was “day-to-day.” However, he didn’t play in the final two nonconference games.
Then, in a press conference Sept. 22, Cignetti said the Hoosiers would “know more” later that day regarding Baldwin’s undisclosed injury. However, the second-year head coach hasn’t provided an update since.
Now, Indiana’s top recruit in the 2025 class will be available to make his debut at 3:30 p.m. against Michigan State inside Memorial Stadium in Bloomington with the Old Brass Spittoon on the line.
