The following is a press release written by Desiree DeMolina for the City of Bloomington.
Bloomington residents are invited to join Mayor Kerry Thomson for a Traveling Town Hall aboard Bloomington Transit Route 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, from 3 to 5 p.m.
This unique event offers riders a chance to share ideas, ask questions, and engage directly with Mayor Thomson—all while experiencing one of the City’s most essential public services firsthand.
Bloomington Transit fares are $1 for a single ride or $0.50 for eligible riders. Rides are free for City of Bloomington employees and Indiana University students, faculty and staff.
Bloomington Transit is operated by the Bloomington Public Transportation Corporation (BPTC) in Bloomington, Indiana. The transit system consists of fixed-route bus routes operating seven days a week and a paratransit system focused on transportation for those who are not able to ride the fixed-route system.
The Traveling Town Hall series is part of Mayor Thomson’s ongoing effort to make City government more accessible, transparent, and responsive by meeting residents across different neighborhoods and settings.
