A portion of I-69 south of Bloomington will have single-lane closures on or after Sept. 29, as construction for a thin bridge deck overlay project commences over Indian Creek.
RAM Construction Services is scheduled for the project, according to a Greene County Emergency Management Agency release Thursday.
The overlay will stretch over Indian Creek, about two miles north of state Route 445 Exit 104. Both northbound and southbound lanes will have single-lane closures during construction, which is expected to take up to three days.
Additional bridge deck overlay projects will occur on I-69 in Monroe County as part of the $1.7 million contract awarded to RAM Construction Services last July, per the release. More information will be provided as construction progresses.
The Indiana Department of Transportation encourages drivers to slow down, use caution and eliminate distractions while traveling through construction zones.
