An assault was reported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at 11:51 a.m. Friday on the Karst Farm Greenway Trail near Grandview Elementary School.
According to a sheriff’s office press release, the suspect is a white male with a dark, curly mullet and skinny build in his mid to late 20s.
The victim reported a man passed her on the trail multiple times before ultimately grabbing her shirt and pulling it over her head. The women screamed, which caused the suspect to flee, and she then called 911.
A MCSO drone team and deputies were unsuccessful in locating the suspect. The Monroe County Community School Corporation was informed of the incident and has increased security measures outside of the school, according to the release.
