BCHS Barn Sale - Donation Days and Sale Days Help
Brown County Humane Society needs volunteers 15 years and older are needed to support their annual BCHS Barn Sale between August 1 and August 9. Whether you can spare a few hours, half a day, or a full day, your help is greatly appreciated. With over 150 volunteers needed, this is a great volunteer project for groups. Snacks and water provided.
Available shifts:
- Donation Processing - Aug. 1 to Aug. 4, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Pre-Sale Prep - Aug. 5 to Aug. 6, 8:00 a.m. to ~6:00 p.m.
- Sale Days Help - Aug. 7 to Aug. 9, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Drool in the Pool
City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation is hosting its 20th annual Drool in the Pool event on August 6 and 7 this year! Volunteers 16 years and older are needed to assist with dog check-in, interact with dogs and their owners, and help keep the area clean and safe. On-site training provided. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. This is an outdoor event. If the weather seems questionable, please plan to show up anyway, and the on-site supervisor will decide whether to proceed with the event.

- Aug 6 and 7, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Volunteer at ReStore
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County - ReStore is looking for volunteers 14 years and older. Three ongoing volunteer positions are available: Cashiers, Donation Intake Assistants, and Showroom Assistants. Each shift runs approximately 2 hours.
ReStore hours: Tuesday-Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Closed Sunday & Monday

Donations to New Hope For Families will directly benefit families in our community navigating the crisis of homelessness. Our staff members work with families to make sure they have the necessary essentials, food, and the support they need to move from homelessness to stable housing.
Donations: Accepted most weekdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please call their office at 812-334-9840 in advance to arrange delivery.
