Indiana Trial Lawyers Association Recognizes Four Decades of Advocacy, Leadership, and Excellence
Greene & Schultz Trial Lawyers is proud to announce that Betsy Greene has been named the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) 2025 Lifetime Achievement Honoree. Greene received her award at the ITLA’s Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, May 7, at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.
The ITLA Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to attorneys whose careers exemplify outstanding service to the legal profession, unwavering dedication to the rights of Hoosiers, and extraordinary contributions to the ITLA. Greene, who has spent more than 40 years championing justice for Indiana citizens, has left an indelible mark on the legal field through her tireless advocacy, mentorship, and leadership.
“As a trial lawyer, my mission has always been to stand up for those who need a voice,” said Betsy Greene. “The ITLA has been an integral part of my career, and this recognition is deeply meaningful to me.”
Greene has been a leading force in personal injury law, having tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict. Her career began in 1982 as a prosecutor in Morgan County before transitioning to private practice, where she has since built a reputation as a top-ranked trial attorney. She served as ITLA President in 2007, only the third woman to hold the role, and has been a member of the ITLA since 1988.
Beyond her casework, Greene is known for her commitment to strengthening the legal profession. She has served on the Board of Directors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) for over a decade and. currently sits on its Executive Committee. A graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, she has spent years mentoring young attorneys, hosting workshops, and donating thousands of hours to help fellow lawyers hone their craft.
Greene’s legal excellence has been widely recognized throughout her career. She has been named Indiana’s #1 attorney by Super Lawyers on two separate occasions and has appeared in the Super Lawyers Top 10 for more than two decades. In 2025, Greene & Schultz will celebrate its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of dedicated service to injury victims and their families.
