After a weekend featuring three goals in two games, Indiana men’s soccer senior forward Tommy Mihalic earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors Tuesday afternoon.
Indiana went 1-1-0 over the holiday weekend, drawing the University of Notre Dame 2-2 and defeating Yale University 2-0. Mihalic scored the go-ahead goal against the Fighting Irish, and his brace catapulted the Hoosiers over the Bulldogs.
The honor marks Mihalic’s second Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award, the first since his collegiate debut against Notre Dame in 2021. In that match, Mihalic scored a brace to help Indiana defeat the Fighting Irish 3-2.
Mihalic and the Hoosiers travel to Indianapolis on Wednesday to take on Butler University. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
