A natural gas leak reported at 4:01 p.m. Monday near the 700 block of Atwater Avenue is under repair and poses no public health or safety concern, according to an IU Notify alert at 4:48 p.m.
CenterPoint Energy shut off the natural gas and is repairing the leak, according to an email from IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba. Atwater Avenue will remain closed from Indiana Avenue to Park Avenue while the leak is being repaired.
