Indiana men’s basketball’s non-conference schedule added another piece to the relatively vacant puzzle Wednesday.
The Hoosiers are hosting the University of South Carolina on Nov. 16 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, according to a press release. Time and television information will be shared at a later date.
South Carolina is Indiana’s second confirmed non-conference affair, along with a Nov. 10 matchup against Eastern Illinois University. Indiana is also competing in the Battle 4 Atlantis from Nov. 27-29 in the Bahamas with matchups to be determined.
Indiana and South Carolina have played three times before, with the Hoosiers holding a 2-1 record. The Gamecocks’ last trip to Assembly Hall was Dec. 22, 1973, when Indiana took an 84-71 victory.
The two teams haven’t played in the 21st century — but come Nov. 16, that fact will be no more.
The Hoosiers’ Big Ten schedule hasn’t been released, but the location and number of times they’ll play each team in the new-look conference has been.
