The Bloomington Indiana Film Festival (BIFF) is set to begin at 6 p.m. on April 5 at The Bishop Bar and run until April 7.

BIFF is an event, which has been running annually for two years now, focused on showcasing independent films from filmmakers in the Bloomington community and across the world. The films shown range from features, animations, documentaries, shorts, student films and music videos. The variety of styles is part of the goal behind BIFF — to highlight different filmmaking traditions and filmmakers in the Bloomington community.

Filmmakers participating in the event have the chance to win an array of awards. The Grand BIFF’s will be awarded to the “Best Short Film” and “Best Music Video.” Other awards include “Best Local Feature Film,” “Best Short Documentary,” “Best Director.”.

Tickets to attend the event can be found on the Bloomington Indiana Film Festival website and vary in price depending on the number of days chosen and how many films are included. An all-access pass, which gives access to all events, is $111.
