PRESS RELEASE: Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)

Bloomington, Ind. – The BMCMPO will host an in-person open house format public meeting on Wednesday, April 3rd from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM to share information about the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2050 MTP) update process and invite the public to provide comments. The in-person public meeting will take place at the following time and location:

The Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMCMPO) is preparing an updated multimodal Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). This plan will cover the City of Bloomington, the Town of Ellettsville, and urbanized portions of Monroe County, Indiana. The MTP will identify recommended improvements to the region’s transportation system through the year 2050. The plan will consider needs related to roadways, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian walkways, and freight.
