For the second consecutive season, Indiana softball will begin its season in Clearwater, Florida, with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Leadoff Classic on Feb. 8-11, per an IU athletics release.
In its first game of the season, Indiana will face off against the University of Oregon at 7 p.m. Feb. 8.
The Hoosiers will then square off against Clemson University at 7 p.m. on Feb. 9.
The Ducks and the Tigers each reached the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament a season ago, respectively.
Indiana will play a doubleheader Feb. 10 with a matchup with the United States Military Academy at 1 p.m. followed by a contest with the University of Kansas at 4 p.m.
The Hoosiers will conclude the prestigious event Feb. 11 against North Carolina Central University at 10 a.m.
Indiana went 3-1 in the 2023 NFCA Leadoff Classic and finished the program’s 50th season with a 44-18 record.
Each game of the NFCA Leadoff Classic will be played at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.
